Oh you're so welcome! I needed this too. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That was quite sad, in the context of what has happened since, but for them, in that moment, it was just lovely.
Yeah, it's really too bad that the very next day, Peter traumatizes the hell out of Nathan and they don't touch again for a long time. But who can fault Peter for getting sloppy and entitled? They are so easy with each other here. (But all that drinking and screwing takes its toll on Peter physically... poor dear)

I hope you have it in your heart to delve into the angst for the next Ritual whenever it happens.
Oh, I think I do. There's a long weekend coming up, and I have no plans - under ideal conditions, I can get a whole story written in a few days.

Hotel Amy
My teensy little Britney "if U seek Amy" shoutout. :)

I loved that Peter was half-baked
He IS a college student after all. And a college student in Manhattan, at that. Weed; it happens.

I know you placed it for us; right after #9 (which I need to go back and read again).
And right before a fateful moment in "Dixon", too. Read that one, too, especially if you want some angst (and then some schmoop, to make up for it, in the same story).

SO glad you liked it! Hooray!

Pathetically short comment, but: this was lovely. DANCING, omg, I love it. Sorry so short. Brain not working. :(

That's OK: my brain only works in short bursts - but I'm glad you liked it! :)

Dude, I knew exactly where you were going with the title. I feel both sage and learned and... disturbed. ;) This was just... After 56, it was so bittersweet, yet it was all the more beautiful because of it.

I, for one, will have no trouble eating biscuits and gravy again! ...which is also disturbing.

It's kind of nasty, but on the other hand, mmmmmmm biscuits and gravy. (And my particular homemade vegan version is amazing; that's pretty much what I was thinking of. I make great vegan cuisine even though I eat dead, helpless animals all the time.)

The bittersweetness goes way back toward the bitter in Ritual 58, where we go to the next day - and the psyche of Replacement Goldfish Nathan.

Oooh, yay, vegan food! It's so hard for vegans like me to find good food, and I'm a lousy cook! :(

LOL, awwwww, Replacment Golfish Nathan!

You're very welcome! It's a bit silly, but I needed a little levity before I descend into heart-rending darkness. Mwahahaha.
