So, I KNOW this isn't 'canon' because it wasn't a true Capcom game (licensed, not created by) buuuut...

Rockman and Forte: Challenger from the Future has fascinated me for a while with its plotline, as there are elements of it that could be said to bridge the Classic and X series (with some mental straining, of course ( Read more... )

Wily redeeming himself is interesting as a concept, but not really canon. Like we've discussed, he became much more malevolent after encountering the Evil Energy, made Zero teh Psychopath, and is poking around with Sigma to turn Zero. Unless Wily pretended to reform so he could secretly find a way to fix Zero.

I dunno if the Cyber-Elves are 'souls' per se - elves are programs in physical form. So reploids turned into elves are more like their own consciousness existing seperate from their own body. That could count as a soul, though.

What happened to it? He probably went where all other reploid elves go, into cyberspace. And, uh, partied hard. XD

FLASHBACK TO THE CLASSIC SERIES!!! Warning, warning! *giggle* It wouldn't be the first time Wily pulls THAT one... Just the first time he doesn't pull it on light directly. XD

Well, can you explain the human-origin Cyber-elves in ZX, then, if they're just programs? (I don't think the two species "merged" that much that humans have a robo-brain with a programmed consciousness to turn into an elf.)

Yes, at one point in the Zero series (I think we see it on Ciel's database in MMZ2), they start to agree on calling Cyber-elves programs, but in MMZ they also say it's an "electronical entity". (I'd love to know what the term they use in japanese is, if it's really "program" or something else.)

Well, as I understand it, Cyber Space is the idea that the entire universe is like a giant 'computer program'. Everything in the universe is made up from the same basic elements (like 0 and 1), things follow 'programming' (laws of physics), and it can even be manipulated to alter reality (which is what elves do to destroy spikes/alter weather/etc). So technically, we're ALL data, so thus humans can be cyber-elves too.

I've been looking for a translation of the ending for like, forever. Thanks for the links. ^^ Now I can continue with the planning of my Quint story.

Haha, you're welcome. I've been looking for the damn game script for ever. I might just have to go find the ROM and load it up in emu... but if it's in Japanese, won't help me much ;p

Yeah, it's in Japanese. I tried. -_- Well, the ending just blew the plotline I had out of the water. Time to improvise.

Remember, Rockman Shadow is NOT Quint. So you don't have to worry about it if the story's about Quint... XD
