Um, hey. Is this thing on? Can I start? Alright, er, so some of ya might not know me all that well but my name is Private Preston Marlowe. And I was wondering what everyone knows about this town we're stuck in.

Also does anyone else get the feeling that something...not exactly right is going on here?

I guess what I know depends on what you know... heh, if that makes any sense. 's kinda hard to explain without knowin' what's already in your head. Depends on what year it is for you an' stuff like that.

... yeah, that's a pretty common feelin' an' you'll prob'ly see why you feel that way at some point.

We can definitely hear you loud and clear, Preston--the telephone system at least is quite reliable it seems and will call every phone in the mansion, unless you specify a particular, direct call that you want to make. I'm Allen Walker, pleased to speak with you.

As for the place itself, from all we've been told, the city is Arkham in the state of Massachusetts. The year is 1928, in case you expect it to be a different year, and a lot of us did. Supposedly, we began arriving here on the first, so some of us have been here just over a week now.
