You just have to remember not to force anything your body isn't ready to do (something you can do one day, you may not be able to do the next), & not to compete with other people who get deeper into any particular poses than you feel you do.
Yoga also helps you to focus, & align your mind/body connection. Plus, it enables the spine to self-lubricate, which I'm told happens less frequently as we age.
