Believe me, I know how overwhelmingly crappy the job-hunting process can make you feel. It's true, you have to "sell yourself" (though, personally, I've never been very good at it), but you also have to be yourself. ^_^ Jobs are as much about your personality fitting in as your skills, & if that interviewer didn't let you speak, it's a good indication you weren't meant to be there. Don't rush it. It's like a puzzle - your piece will fit somewhere. <3

Thanx for the confidence! you are right, but see i'm not even looking for a actual job. Something in retail or some sort of shop would be just fine
All i want is a bit of experience, but because everyone does work experience in junior high school no one wants to train a newbie (especially at christmas) >< *sigh* i hope i will have better luck after i get back from India =/

Thanx for reading =)

You're welcome! Though you should never let it be said that retail isn't an 'actual' job - it's a good starting point to pick up skills you can take with you to other sorts of occupations. You have to handle not only money quickly & accurately, but you're dealing with the public, bosses, pressure...

That's the one thing that makes it so difficult for people to get started in the workforce - you need experience to get a job, but most jobs want you to already have experience. I can understand them being hesitant about training during the holiday rush, but you'd also think an extra pair of hands would be sorely welcomed. Well, if worse comes to worse, you can always wait until you come back from India. As you said, you may have better luck then. You might even want to check & see if there are any programs in your area that cater to people in need of experience. When I started, there was a sort of 'earn while you learn' thing, where the state paid half my wages & the company I worked for paid the other half. Just a thought.

No problem.

Oh my bad i didnt mean retail as not a 'actual' job i meant not looking for full-time work >< my phrasing was wrong xD

I was talking to my friend last night and she said that the only way people were getting jobs without experience is by faking it. She suggested i write down some random food store or her family giftshop store...But i don't know..considering it but hmm i'd feel pretty bad o.O

Today i did give my resume in again so *fingers crossed*

I was really hoping to look for a job so i can work over my birthday though -.- (8days) i guess that won't be happening xD All my friends are on schoolies (after high school everyone goes on a trip without parents) and i'm gonna be alone...gotta be the most boring 18th birthday ever..haha

how are you holding up?
