These two have a fair bit of backstory on them. Girl meets boy on the beach who has suspiciously large diamond. Befriends him. Agrees to be his assistant while half-humoring him at the time. Gets to know him. Gets flustered by him day after day after day. Gets forced to kiss him a few times due to island antics. While unaware of it, also gets brought out of her shell bit by bit due to his charisma and influence on her.
While they fight in nearly every thread they have, Kaito manages to be something Tear has never had a shot at, outside of Legretta and Van (which is more like sibling-like idolization than anything else): A really close friend. I'd say closest friend but it does sound a little awkward to put, though it is pretty accurate even if just by default, considering though she cares about her canon friends, from the point I've taken her, she doesn't truly know them as close friends-- more as friends and allies. Kaito knows more about her than most people do, as he's managed to get a fair bit of her backstory out of her, including the unfortunate bits about her world and has confided in him about Van. Of course, he's shared secrets with her too, including his notoriously big one as a thief, one she intends to keep because meddling with other worlds ain't cool. In their spare time, they spend a lot of time adventuring. It's kind of a pact between the two, but not really. Also of note, he manages to really fluster her in a way she's not used to. The kicker? She hasn't always pow hammered him for it, either.
Mid-June '10, after a long, long time of sorting out their feelings and time apart, they made their shippy shenanigans official and started to date. ♥ Fuck yeah orange border. Kaito is definitely the closest person to her, someone she trusts unconditionally.

Like Kaito, Judith has a profound effect on Tear and bringing her out of that cold, reserved, soldier-type shell Tear has found herself quite adjusted to. While both goal-oriented people, Judith and Tear are near complete opposites in terms of personality, but luckily, are both friendly enough to get along despite such opposites. Judith was the second person Tear confided in about the situation back in her world, and of Van, and Judith reciprocated by telling Tear about all the dangers going on back in Terca Lumieres. Fun times in Tales games, go go!
Judith is like Legretta's parallel to Tear. She's the big sister, but she's the loving and fun one, whereas Legretta is the strict and cold one, but both are on the same level in terms of wisdom. Though Tear has certainly known Legretta longer, it's easy to talk to Judith and bond with her, so while she isn't consciously drawing the connections just yet, subconsciously, she definitely is looking up to Judith.
Also, Ba'ul is cute and no one will tell Tear otherwise.
CROW

Their first meeting was an interesting one! It was during the famed Watanagashi-event and Crow got badly injured, and afterwards, Tear healed him. They chatted casually since then, at carnivals and hug posts, but it wasn't until Crow, Kazuha, Kaito, and herself, all sort of got to know each other that she really started bonding with him-- and them, as a group. Tear can be kind of cold, but when she finally told Crow about what was going on in her world-- making him 'let's tell people about why Auldrant is fucked up' listener number three --he was all the more devoted to letting her use him for her training, in order to help her grow stronger, and since that conversation, he's earned her utmost respect.
... However, she is still not too sure what he was thinking when he and Kaito made those sleds. She's fairly sure Kazuha still has no idea either. Otherwise, a friendly guy who she's gained trust in. Also, the first to teach her the joys of the manly shoulder-hug. Also, she has promised to him she'll watch over Yotsuba when he's not around, something she'll uphold as best as she can. Thinks he's a bit hotheaded after that whole fight thing, but otherwise, her opinion of him remains unchanged.

Met her on her first day! Though they were friendly enough at first, Tear didn't really get to know her until a little later, when they started to bond more. Kazuha often provides a fresh perspective on things that not a lot of other people can offer to Tear. She's also a fellow voice of reason-- meaning someone she can easily go to for those moments of 'dear god why I can't believe they actually did that' and the fact that Kazuha's from a completely different world hasn't weakened that in the slightest. Like Judy, Kazuha's devoted to bringing out the more girly side of Tear, and this has included sleepovers! No boys allowed.
Easily one of Tear's close friends, as they have a lot to bond over. And I do mean a lot. As of recently, she bonded with her over a fight Kazuha had with Crow, and invited her to stay with her in the Tartarus for a while. This got Tear's more motherly side out, and while she knows Kazuha can handle herself well enough, she feels just a bit more protective of her after this incident. In short, Kazuha can count on Tear, and Tear can count on Kazuha.
GUY CECIL

While they don't thread that much, Guy has Tear's full trust as a comrade and... well. Hopes he'll be able to keep the Tartarus up and running since he's the only one living on it that has any technological know-how. She appreciates Guy most of all for his loyalty, demonstrated when he waited for Luke. She knows he's a great person and is someone she'd trust her life with-- just as long as it didn't involve him having to hold onto her for long periods of time.
Since Guy has been here a lot longer than she has, she's very interested in learning about more of his island experiences. We should have a long talk sometime. :|a

Canonmate number two! Anise has been here even longer than Guy, so they also need to have a heart-to-heart sometime about what went down when Tear wasn't here/the other Tears were here/so on. Anise does have her trust, though Tear would probably still take Guy's word over hers in some situations, because well... Anise. Plus, again, Tear's still from an earlier point in the game, etc. Otherwise, Anise and Tear are lone canon ladies who are the only ones who fully know what's going down back home, though Tear is under the impression that everything turned out Mostly Okay, or at least, that's what she's probably gotten from living with them for so long, so it's eased her fears considerably.
There are times when, of course, Tear'll have her issues with Anise, be a bit off-put by her personality, so on, but she knows Anise is far more mature than she lets on and is more than capable of taking care of herself, so Tear won't play mother hen to her. ... A Tear, an Anise, and a Guy living all alone on that big stupid ship. Poor, poor Guy.

WHO KNOWS where this sensei and student relationship will go, maybe TotA is going to become Metal Gear Abyss once Tear goes home. ... I kid, I kid. But still, she's eager to begin her lessons in hopes that she'll learn valuable skills for home.

Even though their first meeting was awkward (it was during a theme day where you saw everyone as an enemy, therefore, she saw Yotsuba as a mini-Van), Yotsuba is just charming and Tear doesn't need to be told twice to keep good on her promise to look after her.
