apart from being really quite annoyed at the misprinting of lyrics for some of the clues, i'm fairly confused by _________ __________ - Pete Doherty buddy who was a star of the small screen (3, 6)

I think the answer was posted on FDB sometime last week? It was no-one I'd heard of, I seem to recall.

it's quite funny, me and my flatmate were doing the quiz looking at the ultimate libs package you can win going "but we've got all of that. that's rubbish!" lol but i wanted to finish the crossword anyway

Dan Treacy is in Television Personalities. I only know this b/c I had to review the new MGMT album over the summer and one of the songs - the best on there IMO - is named after him.
