FIC: Caught Staring

The idea of a teenage Sirius in a communal shower with other boys popped into my head the other day. Before I knew it, the poor boy was caught staring. Originally, I was going to set this in the showers of the Quidditch locker room, but then I remembered that there is no such place in canon. (It's a pretty popular place in fanon though.) That felt - sadly - very realistic. I can really imagine a scene like this happening in the showers. I particularly liked that you turned the usual prejudices around: Now the purebloods are the victims of prejudices, too, and not only the other way around.

Thank you. Yes, I figured the prejudice might go both ways--especially with pureblood vs. non-pureblood animosity being exploited in this era by Voldemort in his quest for more followers.

Wow, awesome job. I love reading fics that have a more realistic/honest portrayal of the wizarding world's view of, treatment of, and relationship with homosexuality and the gay community. I loved how you may that personal here. :)

Thank you. I prefer reading stories with a more realistic take on Wizarding attitudes too-- hence the reason I wrote this that way. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
