When you say discussions, do the discussions in question have to be specifically linked to fic in some fashion? F'rex, I've been discussing the different versions of cover art lately with my girlfriend, and it's been quite interesting finding out which versions of, say, Deep Wizardry she preferred to the ones I liked best
( ... )
So I guess my question boils down to, really, do discussions have to involve fic in some way or could they be more general Young Wizards stuff that might just as easily go at the other comm except for how I like *this* one?
That's flattering to hear! Basically: I'm not going to kick you out if you post this kind of stuff here, and it certainly lends a different perspective to those kinds of discussions [for example: I probably wouldn't have written a pornlet in youngwizards ;)]. I think there's an argument that even posing the questions you want to ask in a *ficcer's* community, as opposed to a general discussion community, is going to produce a discourse that is fundamentally distinctive. From this perspective, any question has a relationship to fic and ficcers, just in terms of the way we approach a question; and you're obviously more interested in that discourse (which I totally appreciate.)
On the other hand, poor unloved youngwizardsOn the other other hand: What I probably should do is put this question to the community, and if I think general
( ... )
And, well, yeah, that is the kind of discourse I prefer, because my brain always functions in the 'what story can I tell about this?' mode, even when the question is something like '... okay, why does this cover art totally fail for you?'
Lol, I have to pet you for indexing 'In the Line of Duty' under a Nita tag ;) even though I totally didn't specify in my entry which one of them it was. I was thinking Nita.
Dude, I didn't even notice that you hadn't specified! Would you prefer it to be uncertain? [Obviously you're writing really well if you were thinking Nita and that's who I picked up, but.]
oh god, that would be AMAZING. I'm a huge procrastinator on indexing and I'm always having to catch up with like, skip=200. I'm totally going to add you right away. THANK YOU! ♥

Hehe. You're welcome, bb. It's much easier if you use the 'view subjects' thing in the calendar, btw. ♥
