Nikon D 60 and Apple laptop

Tuesday I had an appointment with my GP to get the result of the tests. I was gratified to discover that they are greatly improved on 4 years ago, at which time I was waiting for surgery and very unwell. Even the 'bad' cholesterol is at an acceptable level. The only thing is that my blood glucose levels are higher, but not to an extent that ( Read more... )

Have fun with your new camera. I have considered getting a smaller, easy to tote around, camera for those times when I don't want to lug my big stuff around with me. You're right - it is heavy!

Even though I have only just brought this camera home I strongly recommend it. It is amazingly light, but still does everything that a more expensive version will do.

Congratulations on the new camera! That is a great one.
:)
What sort of memory card does it take?

And congratulations also on the good outcome of your tests. It's always such a relief, isn't it?

It sounds so odd to hear you talking about waiting for Spring.

The memory card is an SDHC card. I was talked into an 8GB card, but I don't really need that much, since I always download to the computer immediately and delete from the card. I'm really looking forward to using the camera as SLR is so superior.

Yes, it was a relief to know that I'm in reasonably good shape, especially after being scolded by the diabetic nurse on my previous visit.

I know it sounds odd for me to be talking of spring, but we are into winter here, whilst you are in summer.

It sounds like you had a productive day and the results of the tests are also good. I have to take metformin for my insulin issues, but you get used to it.

We have dryers in our blocks laundry, but I just hang the clothes on racks in the living room. I have the oil column heater on anyway (much better than the aircon) so I use the ambient heat to dry the washing.

I'm glad that the tests were OK as the diabetic nurse had really put a rocket up me. I had eaten a Chinese meal before going to see her so of course my blood glucose had risen like crazy. I only went for Chinese because it has plenty of vegies in it, and is non-greasy. It is quite difficult to buy anything moderately healthy in Hobart, unless you are looking for a sitdown meal ( ... )

I should have known you'd have more than enough smarts to work out the ambient air option.

One of my friends had a wood burning stove in the centre of the living room. It was a cathedral style ceiling, and had a drying frame suspended over the stove. I don't think she ever had trouble getting laundry dry, even with 3 children.
