I tend to be a big fan of Nissan and Toyota. I'm pretty uninterested in Ford, Chevy and such. And Pontiac is one of those whose cars have rarely done anything for me. But man, this sort of "targeted advertising" I guess really appeals to me as a driver. (And a gaming geek)

They're basing their car commercial on the popular game, Spy Hunter, where you drive a car that has several Bond-like gadgets... oil-slicks, smoke-screens, machine-guns, anti-aircraft rockets, and other such innovations. And, you have a bunch of enemies on the road, sent from a multinational evil organization, bent upon world domination.

What's not to love?

Spy Hunter was all the rage when the original Knight Rider show was on TV. (They just announced a new series)

Everyday driving around here makes me wish I had those gadgets on my car. When every third driver of a ten-year-old Mercedes thinks he's on a mission from God and that means that other drivers and the double yellow line are merely obstacles to him completing his holy task, I really wish I had heat-seeking missiles to fire.

But that's just me.
