Puritans believe it is bad and people without empathy think it is for fun -- it is a representation of hours of human life. We trade pieces of our life for the money in return we hand it over for someone elses time to aquaire their life.

The goal being to BUY your remaining years now with your time and money by making your time as valuable as you can.

Life is fleeting and very valuable.

No. But money makes the world go round.

Love won't buy you other things.

It's like saying, "I don't need my pants... I have a really great shirt!"

It's not materialism if you don't place money as the focus of your life. It simply is a means to an end. Just like having a job. Just like having rubber boots for rainy weather.
