Greeks rather than Romans tend to be the ones associated with man-love, but I adore this. I can see this having happened off screen between season 3 and 4 (we all know what Merlin and Arthur are getting up to when the camera's off). Great fic, and thank you

Glad you liked! I did actually know that the Greeks were into military man-love rather than the Romans but the Romans somehow erroneously got a reputation for it as well. Thus my lil disclaimer at the end. It was kind of a tongue-in-cheek poke at historical inaccuracies. Somehow I doubt the average early-medieval knight would have honestly known the difference! Also with the remnants of a Roman occupation still littering the countryside, I figured the Romans would have been more present in their collective consciousness.

I don't know how I missed this. It was wonderful - hot, and lovely, and comforting all rolled into one. I particularly loved your portrayal of Elyan, the emotions seemed to run deeper with him, and I can see his earnest expression so easily in your description. And the silky skin was a gorgeous touch. I think I'll wrap myself up in this fic tonight in my dreams. Makes me so happy to think of the friendship and bond between these knights.
