Is she going to destroy 1000s of houses that can't be replaced because it's water damage not wind damage that is the dumbest distinction I have ever heard. Should I ever have the opportunity to be a homeowner I think I'd get flood insurance because you never know ( Read more... )

Hey, knowing you should have perspective is enough. The screwed up selfish people are the ones who think that their problem is the worst simply because it's happening to them.

Sorry to hear about the car. Gosh, that really sucks.

I appreciate your noticing... My possible positive attitude. Well after all the drama and after looking at several cars and now that ours is back we're finding many things to recommend the even greater dent mobile. The steering is nymble and the engine is not too jumpy.. I think we will stay with our own hideous child for a while. We are lucky, not to be flooded out. To have jobs and not to be injured. It's really lucky after all. After looking at all those other cars (dating) we find we like our own pretty well and they will have to do a lot of talking. It has a wonderful feature no payment book and el-cheapo insurance. How can you beat that?

Paul and I have been toying with the idea of getting a hybred. Gas is so high these days. No payment is definety good. Howevery you don't want to get stranded. How badly tosted is your car? Is it fixible? Driving around without insurance is a bad idea. So if your policy gets cancelled you might be better off getting a cheep used car. Its a big descision though. A lot of number crunching involved. Paul and I just swiched our insurance from Progressive to Geico. Were saving $390 on our new policy. Though now adays thats only enough for a few tanks of gas.
