What is with Japan and crazy musicals??

Now I thought America had some pretty bizzare musicals- Tuesdays With Morrie, Little Women, Legally Blonde- but I think Japan may have to top us in this catagory as well. Sailor Moon I could handle, Prince of Tennis seemed a bit odd and difficult to pull off, but Bleach? Seriously? How are they gonna pull off the Hollows? And Kon? I understand
