Yesterday my mother and I watched movies of myself at my birthday parties as a child. I didn't let her know, but that got to me. Visions of how I used to be and what I've become together make me feel guilty

It's the classic debate of fate vs. free will; it seems you're in a gray area trying to figure if you're a fatalist or if you believe in free will and the consequences and outcomes of your actions determining your life. I think to a degree life is both; there are certain things that may be destined/fated to happen, but sometimes we have to make choices out of our free will if we are to make those things happen. Yeah, my head hurts after that. Good luck to you. I know eventually you'll figure things out :)
