[Now, normally Jim is a lot more careful with his SFC. He has seen these accidental posts, and he'd rather avoid the whole matter himself. Normally, yes. But today he is very distracted. So distracted that he doesn't really notice his fingers brushing over the wrong button as he sets down the device, before tossing his coat out of the camera's view ( Read more... )

[It's sky surfing and mechanics. Two of Renton's favourite things!]

Definitely! You seriously built that on your own?

[They are going to be such good buddies forever.]

Yeah. I mean, I've been building these things forever.

[Forever and ever.]

Really? You've gotta explain to me how this works. I mean, there's no trapar, so...

myowncourse October 15 2011, 01:48:10 UTC
Only if you explain me this trapar stuff. I've never heard of that.

Huh? Oh, it's this... kind of energy that's in the air. Basically, ref boards use something called reflection film, which keeps the board afloat where there's trapar.

So if the trapar isn't very good, then it's pretty hard to ref, but on the other hand, if you've got some good waves, then it's awesome!

[Oh god this sounds amazing where can he sign up he wants to do this.]

Like magnetic fields or something similar?

Kind of, yeah! Reflection's film made from skyfish, which are creatures that fly where there's trapar.

As for trapar itself, it's, well... a little complicated. Most people aren't even aware of its true nature, actually.

... Its true nature?

[He scratches the back of his neck.]

... If I were to say that hypothetically my planet is completely covered by a sentient life form, what would you think?

I'd say nice joke, now pull the other one.

But I am guessing it is not a joke?

... Remember how I said that I was kind of from Earth but not really and that it was complicated? It has to do with that.

i think it is better if you just start explaining this one from the start. That kinda sounds like a big story.

It really is, but the part involving trapar doesn't really have much to do with the history behind it, actually.

See, the idea is that thought creates energy-like how we think and our bodies move because of that, right? That's what trapar is, basically, but on a larger scale thanks to that life form I mentioned.
