I grew up in a small town in CT. Whe I was 20, I moved to ME to live with my stepmom and dad. I married a navy man and moved every two years after that. When we finally divorced, I was as far from New England as I could possibly imagine- Millington, TN. No ocean, no hills, and the "big water" -the Mississippi-was west for the first time in my life! (Even in Antigua, the big water- the Atlantic- was EAST.) If you had asked me in my teens, 20's, even 30's if I would ever live anywhere but New England, I would have said no. But I found my home here ( ... )

It took me going away to see what I wanted to come home to at the end of the day. Haven't gotten back to Carolina yet, but it's the end goal.

I can't imagine you staying in one place too long --- but I love the idea of your taking a length pit stop a "stone's throw" away from my front door. =)
