I just saw your post, I remember her well, we used to take wounded animals to her as children, she would give us the tour of the place with her talking crows who did not like boys...three legged foxes and deers in cages or wandering about like a fairy tale. Did you grow up in Wilmette? I did too - living on Oakwood (near Linden) and 10th street. Well take care - you remember correctly - I remember her area in the back upstairs where she nursed animals back to health. Everytime I go past there I fondly remember. I read the neighbors tried to save the home and the animal sancutary but the developers won out and built two homes there...the ground must be very fertile. Take care - happy March!!!
