(OOC: Gotta backdate for the sake of no Swordian days or something. Having no talking sword should force him to be a little more social. ... I swear he isn't crazy
( Read more... )
[Yeager, who spends a good amount of time lurking around the weapons store himself, examining what shows up there, happens to notice the frequency in which Leon's been visiting it. So, naturally, he gets a bit curious and approaches him.]
I do indeed. I've trained with swords, knives, various kinds of firearms, a bit with bows, and I have some basic skills in martial arts.
[His glance falls to the sword as well, catching a smirk out of him.]
That looks much like a rapier I used to have, years ago. It's been a long while since I was in a formal fencing match...where I live back home, swords with wider blades are preferred. [And more lethal features. Dahngrest is kind of a scary place. XD]
[NOPE. Well, he's less creepy in context. When you live in a warlike society, being able to use a variety of weapons is an admirable trait.]
Sounds like fun. I would like to see your skills~ [Shame he won't have the opportunity to see Leon's sword, though. He would like to witness what it can do.]
[Well. Oookay then. Yeager gives a small shrug and looks back down at the swords, selecting a similar rapier for himself. He'll just have to see what kind of information he can drag out of Leon later, he supposes.]
(Hmm, where would you like to do the spar? Here or elsewhere?)
[Yeager heads home himself to change into something a bit more appropriate for a fight than the suit he was wearing--a short-sleeved shirt and sweatpants--and goes to stand around in the battledome and wait for Leon. He rests his back against the wall, concentrating a small orb of luminous aer at his fingertip and idly drawing it along the blade of the rapier, burning off any dirt or corrosion.]
[Leon came to the battle dome not too long after and noticed him as soon as he was inside. He's never bean to the battle dome before, so he gave a quick look around before turning back to Yeager. He didn't seem all that interested though.]
[He chuckles. That's practically asking him to fight dirty, and he hope Leon knows what he's getting into. Well, if that's what he wants, Yeager will go with it. He follows Leon into the room, shifting smoothly into stance.
And as soon as Leon does the same, he rushes at him, point of the rapier towards his chest.]
Have your weapons still not appeared here?

Are there other swords in your world with these core crystals?

[He took another sword; a fencing sword. It was twin-sided and straight. It also had copies, so he knows it's not anyone else's.]
Tell me... Do you fight?
[He asked as he stared down at the blade.]

[Leon began leaving the store with that said; sheathing the new sword.]

I don't believe I got your name.

... We can exchange names after we've fought.
[With that, he left.]

Have you been to the battle dome before?

[He leans over and blows on the blade to get any remaining soot off, then heads towards Leon.]
What rules do you want to spar by? Considering that you extended the invitation, I think it's only right for you to choose.

[He read a bit about the battle dome, but you can imagine he's not going to be able to use the technology.]
I'm not going to bother with the settings for now, so let's just pick a room.
[The first one closest to them was already occupied, so the second was his choice. The room was automatically a grass field.]
Let's go.
