I may have to get me one of this kinda bento box. I keep going back and forth about wanting to do artsy bento or not.

I finally got my bento lj up. american_bento Right now it's just filled with pictures of my previous bento attempts.

I got this box from Bigairplane.com's eBay site. They have a lot of boxes at reasonable prices, and are good about combining shipping.

Heh, I rag on artsy bentos, but it's all in jest. I don't see the point of making superdetailed rice sculptures like you see in some Japanese sites, but if you enjoy putting faces on onigiri or boled eggs, go for it!

along with ichigo daifuku, i found that banana daifuku is pretty good too.

have to see if its the same for other fruits...
