Paper angst

Dec 15, 2005 21:44

Given the choice between F/S angst and "writing a final paper for a grad class" angst, I will take always take the first, even if it breaks my heart....

Cut for a worrying mumble of words... )

grad school, writing

I just suffered through two weeks of major projects with my daughter. As she printed off the last report tonight, I don't know which of us was happier. Possibly me. I get my computer back!

Good luck with your paper!! *hugs* I've missed seeing you around on LJ.

Perfect icon for this topic. *smiles*

I'll see you soon, dear MelAth! I can't wait for the feeling of freedom and relief you and your daughter currently possess!

*hugs you tight*

Thank you for the encouragement, Nolyana! Almost there! It's due Monday, so I have three more days to figure it out, so the stress level has dropped--a bit.

*hugs*

That paper sounds very interesting. And of course you can do it.

Some days, I'm just purely glad I'm past all that. :D

It is fascinating, indeed. And most of what I've learned and come to appreciate isn't even in the paper. I should say it is a successful assignment--and the challenge I expect grad school should be--even if the paper isn't quite as I would like it.

I am looking forward to reading what I want, and hopefully writing some poetry, over break.

I appreciate the words of encouragement, Annwyn!

Thanks! You always cheer me up with that icon! *giggles*

This morning I am looking up occurances of the the OE mæġðhad (maidenhood) in the Old English corpus so I can find something to quote for my paper. It's kind of fun!

I am so sad I haven't had time to enjoy your wonderful Advent calendar properly, but I am glad you are doing it!

*smiles* It cheers me up, too, that's why I am using it most of the time!!! :)

I am glad I never had to do OE at uni, but I had to do Middle High German and that wasn't fun exactly. :) I forgot most of it but I do remember that Middle High German and Middle High Dutch were the same language. :)

Oh, don't worry. The calendar will be there to go back to whenever you find the time! :)
