I have a lot of favourite things, such as singing loudly in my car.

The current favourite thing, however, is to rediscover albums and bands I used to love. Right now, I am rediscovering "Holiday" by the Magnetic Fields.

Oh happy!

Hey sis. You should come visit sometime. Maybe we will visit you in November, too.

I love rediscovering stuff I used to love! I do regularly listen to an awful lot of it anyway, but sometimes I'll drag out the albums (literally albums, records, 33 rpms) and listen to all the songs that went in between the ones I loved the most.

Recently, I rediscovered Oasis, but that faded the instant I sobered-up. Then I rediscovered the Manics, a little bit, but fell asleep from boredom. Theeen I rediscovered Nirvana and that was actually going okay until I realised that I'd cut my hair and bought some new trousers-without-extra-holes-in-them in the last couple of years, at which point it didn't quite feel authentic any more.

I'll have to rediscover things in a couple of years, when the things I have to rediscover are good, instead of... not.

Also, since when are they allowed to masturbate on Dr.Who spin-offs? This gives Torchwood another meaning entirely, and I do not approve!

There's nothing new (or even old) out that I want to buy, so I've been digging through my collection to rediscover old favorites as well.

I've pulled out Paul Westerberg's Stereo/Mono albums and have been reminded of a good time in my life. Also, Brendan Benson's Lapalco, James, New Order, a few Heavenly albums, etc. Now that Oasis has been mentioned here, I might need to listen to that again and maybe even Tori Amos. (Both were some of my faves in high school.)
