Well that was interesting... I was correcting a book report on book 1 of the Wheel of Time series in Norwegian when I noticed there was a certain word used. A word that I was pretty sure that kid didn't even know what meant... So I put the sentence into google, and sure enough... His entire book report was taken from a Norwegian website dedicated

Første regel i avskriving er jo å moderere den! Det var mye enklere før, da lærerne ikke var så veldig oppdaterte på nettet, og enkelte knapt nok hadde tatt i en pc...

Nettopp! Jeg er veldig glad for at min musikkhistorielærer ikke leste min hjemmeeksamensoppgave for nøye... Men det at jeg kom unna det så bra som jeg gjorde sier vel at jeg er god på å moderere min egen avskrift... hihi

Haha, ja! Og så var det veldig enkelt å si at "åj, fikk du ikke mailen med oppgaven som jeg sendte? Nei, da skal jeg prøve å sende den på nytt i dag" og få en ekstra dag på innlevering. :p
Uansett tror jeg vi var smartere før, altså!

They're kids. They think teachers are blind and deaf and were BORN teachers, so they could never ever possibly know any of the stuff that they come up with. Like writing notes to each other, pin the note to a pen and then "just hand the pen" to the next person. Um no... doing something like that would have NEVER occurred to me as a student. Oh wait... of course I was born a teacher myself...

Or handing in a babblefish translation... no way the teacher will notice!

Actually I'm quite pleased that I caught it... I think some of them are now getting to be quite aware that I know the sneaky things that they do, and that I spot them at least ALMOST all the time.. of course, if a kid is noisy, but then gets to be so busy sending notes that he or she is quiet, I might just leave it. No need for that extra noise in the classroom.. if sending that note makes you happy and quiet, go ahead... LOL

there were other things today that were worse. I have one kid who is a nightmare. and the kid hates me... Makes for a good combination... Kid's parents agree with me though, so I got some help there... :D
