Thank you.

I've been surprised at how well people like the effect.

Now I'm worried that if I buy the better quality stuff, people won't like them as much. The better quality supplies would produce a picture that lastest longer though.

Thank you.

The oil pastels are a fairly quick way to get a pleasant effect with little muss or fuss.

It works very well and it's very you - all textured and hazy. That's not you personally, I might add before you do.

It's better than my pitiful Rothko pastiche anyway.

Actually, I think my brain is textured and hazy. At least that's what I tell people when they don't understand why I did something the way I did (and I don't either, but that's between you and me)

It's because my brain is textured and hazy; I did things the artistic way instead of following plebian logic! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Have I seen the pastiche (and not realized what it was?) or are you holding out.

I sprung for a few of the artist quality oil pastels. They go for $2.25 a stick whereas this picture was done with a grade that cost $3.95 for 36 sticks. I'm anxious to see what difference it makes.

No, I've never shown the pastiche (with bears no resemblance to Rothko at all). I'll take a pic one day.

I've been attempting to colout model horses with pastels, but not oil ones. Appearently they aren't the thing for that.

Do, please. I'd be interested in seeing it.

No, I wouldn't think so. There are so many variations though, who knows!

Thank you.

I've been surprised at what I have been able to do, though I suspect that I wouldn't be able to do much beyond that hazy look.

I bought a couple of sticks of the more expensive kind so I can see what improvement, if any, that it makes. Now to find the time to sit down and use them!
