It never fails to amaze me how absolutely pathetically naive humans can be about relationships. About how down n' dirty they are, how much effort they take, how long it can seem after you've fought until the time you make up. Expectations are a m'fucker and it takes a strong person to understand that people are ONLY HUMAN. They make mistakes, and they sure as hell can't say or do the perfect thing at the perfect time with the perfect tone of voice ALL THE TIME. There has to be a threshold. Definitely give and take. Forgiveness, humility.

I hope to heck your girlfriend is able to come to terms with her notions of how things -should- be. Because there's a long time in forever and should is a pretty lopsided journey.
