but woohyun thinks about a boy with beautiful eyes and says, “i think it can be both.”
NO
“that sounds inconvenient,” woohyun had said.
“yes,” his mother replied. “very.”
NO
but the next week yujin came to school dressed in muted colors, her hair braided neatly and her face expressionless. she wasn’t jeongin anymore. she was just like them.
NO ㅠㅠ
“trust?” trust: a bond of attachment characterized by one participant’s relinquishing control over the actions of the other. “you stimulate me intellectually. i am interested by your insights about the world.”
i laughed, ngl.
but there are good things, too, like the way woohyun feels when sunggyu catches a hummingbird trapped in his light fixture and cups it in both hands, feeling the impossible rhythm of its heartbeat. sunggyu sets the bird free from his window, and woohyun can’t decide if he’s impossibly happy or impossibly sad. “what is this?” he asks, laying his hand over his heart in what’s come to be their gesture for feeling

this is so fantastic ;________; your writing is absolutely wonderful. i love love how you melded science and emotion and how you wrote woohyun being all technical and then gradually learning about emotions
everything about this is wonderful ;~~~~;
--adding to my memories akdjf;sdf;j ;q; thank you for writing this sob
i.... have like.... no words? i am literally floored, this feels like a virtual punch in the gut.
this is beyond fantastic - i think it's a fabulous universe and the way it starts out, so clinical and subdued and pensive? then it leads gradually into woohyun adapting to the treatment and second-guessing himself, everything now, it's not so black-and-white anymore like before. a lot more maybes, because the world throws you curveballs sometimes for no reason at all.
“i don’t think i could if i wanted to,” he says. this is so great. so so great. woohyun was very brave when he took his first step, i think, and i'm glad you didn't make him have to go back.
idk what i'm even talking about now but holy shit this was absolutely amazing ♥
I considered it, truthfully. But since the last fic I wrote was really sad, I thought this one needed to be happy so nobody throws stones in my window or something XD
wow. i'm speechless. just... wow. this was incredibly well-written, and the portrayal of the various emotions that woohyun and sunggyu are feeling at each point of time in the story is impeccable.
and i loved this whole idea, it's so creative and you totally it off so well. this was amazing, love it so much ♥
I have read it! I like The Giver a lot. While I was writing this I thought of the mother saying, "Specificity of language, please, Asher," to remind me how Woohyun should talk.
