I graded papers last Monday night. Halfway through the last one, I was tempted to just give up and draw a big angry face over the entire last page. >:0
I'm supposed to learn how to use Skype, but that requires me to get a webcam first. My advisor wants to keep in touch like this, because right now, he is off in Santa Barbara, CA, enjoying a life of leisure for the summer with his wife. And their three-day-old infant. LET'S SEE YOU ENJOY CALIFORNIA NOW, SUCKER!
Oooh. Get the webcam...they're cheap. I have one that came free with another computer. Download Skype and you can practice with me. I also want to see how my webcam works with AIM.
I've graded two papers and I'm really annoyed. I practically wrote the papers for these kids. I gave them the books, gave them the articles, told them which quotes to get from the book and article. I gave them an outline, paragraph by paragraph, detailing what I wanted to see in the paper. Did they follow instructions? Nope.
Your advisor is probably looking at about 45 minutes of sleep per night. Mwahhahahahahaha! I can say this because I've been there...TWICE. However, if he's anything like my husband, he's probably totally unaffected by a new infant and has completely uninterrupted sleep. Bastards, they are.
