xD I'm EXACTLY the same way. Only I've been reading the Spiderwick Chronicles, which is targeted at 4th graders. >.> For some reason I like kid-ish stuff. I'm sort of ashamed, actually.
I'm always afraid of the Young Adult section. I used to read lots of those that focus on sort of modern-day issues (like Define "Normal" and {Catalyst) but I don't know what I want to read anymore. Maybe sci-fi or fantasy, combined with modern-ish crap. I just feel like some of the books are a bit too simplistic for me. At the same time I want to read about teenagers. -_- Maybe I'll drop by borders this weekend and just browse through the section. I'll keep the Bartimaeus Trilogy in mind.
My little sister is reading those. I kind of want to read them, but I'm too embarrassed to be seen with them in public. xD I really shouldn't be, though.
Sci-fi and fantasy combined with modern-ish crap is my favorite genre, but it's hard to find good stuff to read sometimes. YES, read the Bartimaeus Trilogy! It's well worth it, I assure you (and it would be nice to know someone else in the world has read it).
