Hello Molly...I stumbled on your blog today randomly when searching for the phrase "defending myself" on Google." I know it sounds unoriginal, but I felt the need to see what would come up..and well it was your blog. I read 3 entries and empathized on this one mostly because I understand no offense to your "Daddy issues". I think that most women have them. At any rate, I wanted to share something that I've done to cope it. In order to not have planned moments with my father on specific days like holidays or events...I just do spontaneous things...the other day I drove to my father's office and took him out to lunch. Like I said, I know only 3 entries of your life and don't know if you and your father live in the same city or nearby for that matter...but little things like a card for whatever reason (can be mailed or electronic) or just a letter saying how you feel would be nice. Anyhow...my advice stops here. I hope what I said helps. If not, then I guess I'll just Google "defend myself again" next time. :) Good luck!
