I'm really sad to hear Nicholas Courtney is dead. I love the Brigadier as a characters and I've probably seen most episodes he's in. He was also in an episode of 'The Sarah Jane Adventures', so I had no idea he had cancer. RIP Nicholas Courtney :(

I was kind of wishing that Sean Pertwee would be the new Dr...

I had a crush on Nicholas Courtney when I was little. This was really sad for me.

I looked up a picture of Sean Pertwee and thought - he doesn't look anything like his dad. The I imagined with him a grey perm and realised he really really looks like his dad!

I kind of did as well :/ (We'll not even talk of the shameful crush I have on David Bowie when in Labyrinth. ) I used to look forward to episodes with the Birg in, because he was just such a great character.

I have seen him in a lot of things-wasn't he Hugh Beringer in the Brother Cadfael series? I thought he did look like his father and he sounded so much like him as well.

I always thought Nicholas Courtney was so...elegant and British. Back then there was not much in the way of British TV to watch, so seeing him was so cool.

Well, it was the late 60s/early 70s...:)
