Haha, I feel the exact same way about Gatiss XD If I can just marry his brain, I'd be happy to let the guys have his body lol. Haven't seen what you mention in your post btw, but now I will!
If you're a member of markcroft, pudupudu has made it available via download, which is wonderful because I had no access to it when it aired, being in the States.
I originally read the post title as 'Is there anything Mark Gatiss won't do?' Which would make an interesting game to play! BRB lolling forever! Also: mind is in the gutter...
I absolutely agree with you. Have you seen his art (I am sure I've seen him Tweet a drawing he made once but I just tried to Google it to no avail)? Man is so ridicilously multi-talented, I am jealous!
Oh for heaven's sake, he does visual art, too? What the hell can't he do?
All I can think of is that scene in Cabin Pressure when Martin asks Douglas if there's anything he's not good at and Douglas says, "I'm sure there are things I haven't tried yet that I *might* not be good at."
MG does seem to be living the dream. He gets to do all the things he's interested in. His history of horror was excellent television and it's just very sad that it will never be avilable on DVD. From the Mark Gatiss platform it was implied thaa he had loads of extras that would have been included.
He also seems to be a genuinely good chap.
That said I have found his writing to be be uneven. In his latest Doctor Who the idea of the Darlek done up with British army webbing and the 'DO YOU WANT A CUP OF TEA' was just genius but it sagged afterwards.
However, I too am really happy that Sherlock is his hands. His love for it shows and I'm expecting great things.
I agree that his most recent Dr. Who was not the best, which I hate to say, because he apparently did quite a lot of research for it. But I liked his previous one, from the Eccleston season, and the one after that, from Tennant's first season, I think. And I thought The Great Game was spot on. I cannot wait to see what he comes up with for the second series.

The Great Game was very good. My favourite scene is Sherlock and John's argument about caring. I often rewatch that bit.
