Will was asleep and Peter was standing next to the window, looking out. He'd caught up on everything he needed to do and he wasn't in the mood to read. He fished his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed Nathan's number then waited for him to pick up.

Nathan was sitting out on the balcony as he did most every night. It felt good to sit out where it was at least semi-out in the open. When his phone rang and the ID told him that it was Peter, he grinned and answered the phone. "Hey Pete. How are you?"

"Alright. Tired. How are you doing?" Peter said as he leaned against the window frame.

"I'm alright. I'm sitting on the balcony. I can be such a creature of habit sometimes." Nathan answered. "How is Will?"

"He's...sleeping," Peter answered. "I'm giving him a lot of morphine right now so he's comfortable but he's not good."
