Nathan was mid sip on his fourth cup of coffee when Peter walked into his office. He had been wondering how long it would take his brother to get in here to speak with him.

He set the coffee mug down and pushed aside the paperwork on his desk. "Good to know." How anyone could say no to Peter was beyond him. But he couldn't hold that against Sasha, it was her life. And Peter still had a smile on his face.

"Because I coined the phrase, I still reserve the right to call the two of you 'something'." He joked dryly. "Only I'll upgrade it to a something plus."

Peter's grin spread a little and he nodded. "It's a good upgrade."

He paused for a moment. "I didn't expect her to say yes. Just so you know. Since I've known her, Sasha has been expecting me to leave for...whatever reason. It was more to show her that I was serious about sticking with her than anything. I mean, don't get me wrong, if she'd said yes I would have been doing loop de loops in the sky. I wanted her to say yes. I just didn't expect her to. I've still got the ring and I'll give her a few months and ask again. She took a huge step forward this weekend. One of these days she'll jump. It's hard though...taking that first big leap."

"I suppose that the first step analogy applies to most anything in life." Nathan commented after a moments consideration. He steepled his fingers at his lips. "And no one can blame Sasha for being wary of a future. Especially if something from her past promotes the fear."

He tilted his head just slightly. "And did you just say loop de loop?"

"She'll come around," Peter nodded.

He chuckled. "Yeah. You know when the planes do the big loops in the sky...well that would have been me. Sans plane."
