Peter was so excited to be home, he couldn't stand it. Sure he was exhausted but everyone was alive and he was getting to go home. For good. Or at least that was the idea. The doorman recognized him (surprise) and waves him on up. Peter rode the elevator, bouncing on the balls of his feet. The elevator couldn't go fast enough. It finally arrived

Sasha thought she was hearing things when she heard Peter's voice in the apartment. She was playing in Henry's bedroom with him and the dogs, crawling all over the floor and pretending to be a firetruck. It wasn't until Henry and Tex took off for the door that she realized Peter was actually in the apartment and she jumped up to chase after them. She stopped in her tracks when she got to the living room and saw him standing there waiting for them.

Tex was the first one to reach Peter. He crouched down to catch the dog, his hands going to his ears to scratch them. "Hey boy," he said in greeting before he looked back up at Henry and Sasha.

"Henry, buddy...remember me?" And for a minute he was afraid the little boy didn't.

"Pee!" Henry yelled out and tackled him in a hug. Peter laughed and stood up with Henry in his arms. He grinned at Sasha and then noticed the new dog.

"I thought you were kidding when you said you were going to replace me."

"I..." Sasha started, looking down at the dog for a second before staring back at Peter. It was surreal. Her mind started racing, worrying that this wasn't safe and someone was going to walk in and take him, and then her brain just stopped working altogether. "You're home."

Peter nodded and stepped closer, reaching out to wrap his arm around her waist and pull her close. "For good."
