Wow, that's a lot of tattoos! The tiger lily is beautiful. Do they hurt when you're getting them? I have trypanophobia so there's no way I'd let someone nearly me with a needle for non-medical reasons!

Thanks!

It really depends on your pain tolerance, and what type of pain you can handle. Some of them hurt, the one on my chest was...special...I had less padding then. But they were worth it in the end.

I use to be scared of needles, as every kid usually is, but at some point, while getting vaccinated for something my Daddy taught me some trick, that I can't remember, to get through the pain. Now, I'm a trooper. I had a lady giving me a flu shot say "This might hurt" and my reply was 8 tattoos (which is how many I had at the time) and two piercings...I think I'll be okay. And I was. I love watching my blood being taken. I know it's gross, but watching makes me feel like I have more control over the event.

It says Mentor in runes
I had to mentally slap myself when I read that because I can read runes, but I sat there and stared at this, read it forward and backward, and went, "Hmmm..." I blame the heat and lack of sleep (I went to my cousin's wedding Saturday night and had a blast).

Ten is a lot of tattoos! I don't think I could ever get one - I hate needles so much that when they were hooking me up to all the IVs and things for surgery when my second son was born (we have three boys and a girl), I left fingerprints in my husband's hand that were still there five minutes later. And I'm not exaggerating - we took pictures because we knew no one would believe it. It was kind of hilarious. :)

Poor hubby!! But, I understand. I think IV's were part of what got me over the whole needle thing too. When I was in 5th grade I had pneumonia twice, and had IV's for days. So, once that went on, I was pretty fearless. I still can't stand being pinched though. It's weird what our body accepts and rejects.

As for the rune reading thing, my mom played a dirty trick on us once. She went for a nap and left a note all in runes saying that whoever did the dishes, got a dollar. No one could read it...we learned after that! lol

I think as a kid I was scared of them because I remember my mom having to bribe me to get a booster shot once, but now I just hate them, much like I hate bugs and snakes. It's not that I'm afraid of bugs or snakes, I just don't like them. But I agree - it it totally weird what our body accepts and rejects ( ... )

I LOVE the story about the tattoos on your wrists. Obviously not the circumstances behind them, but that you have loved ones actively protecting/helping you at all times now. I like that very much.

I also like the dice. Haha.

Thanks, they were very important to me. My step-dad loved it, but my Dad was upset that I got them where they were so visible. He still appreciated the idea though, and loved the runes.

I like the dice as well :D They looked better when I was a skinny, but oh well.

I guess Brittany Spears has two pink dice on her somewhere, so I caught some flack for that for a while.

I also hate needles so I would probably never get a tattoo, but I love hearing the stories behind tattoos. The ones you got for your dad and stepdad are great, and I love the tiger lily too.

Aw thanks. I think it's cool that there are actually people out there without ink these days!

It is a lot! My mom told me she was going to send me to the circus after the 5th one. And she's PRO tattoos.
