Thank you so, so much! This is perfect and how it should've happened *g*. No but really, the way they did it - it's just... idk. I could accept that from S1 or S2 Arthur but by now he should realize that Merlin and Gaius are the only two who have stood by him from the beginning. And I understand that Agravaine is family and the only family Arthur has, but still HE SHOULD KNOW BY NOW. It just makes him look a little gullible and not very smart.
So this is everything I wanted from that scene and more. You are amazing! I love love love it <3.
WOOHOO!! *happy dancing* YAY! I'm SO glad you liked it, honey!!!! I had you in mind the entire time I was writing, hoping it was going even remotely the way you'd hoped! I'm really happy to hear it hit the spot, love!
Oh, wow. So angsty, and yet so gentle at the same time. How very like Arthur to admit in the dark and quiet of his room what he could never admit in the bare light of day in the council chambers, no matter that it were only Merlin to hear in either circumstance. You've woven a beautiful scene, full of their deepest feelings and fears and desires. rufflefeather is so very lucky! :-)
Aww, honey! Thank you for this comment - I'm so glad that things came across the way I intended. It's hard to tell when you're close to the words, you know? It means a lot to me that you liked it. ♥
What a lovely, intimate play on what happened this episode. You completely nailed their feelings, and I just want to bask in the warmth and comfort that Arthur provides. It's lovely, atmospheric, and affectionate. I want this fic forever *draws hearts everywhere*
Also, sorry it took me so damn long to get around to reading this! Blasted busy holidays, LOL! *smishes you* I couldn't have loved this more. rufflefeather is very lucky indeed!
