How do one measure friendship? Is it when you smile and nod and try your best to agree with the other person no matter what? Or is it when you put your foot down when needed and tell them the facts straight up as you see them, and then risk getting chewed out because of it? I'd like to think that it's the latter. Though to answer the question. I think friendship can't be measured, since there are many types of it. One can risk everything to help them, one can support them from afar... some may just be friends to talk and have fun with and nothing too close.

If you just count the most close friendships, I think the most important part is to support your friend and give him/her advice if things are going out of hand. You can't control your friends' life or tell her/him what to do, but you can always try to make them listen and understand them if they do a wrong decicion, because it might be right in their mind (unless they're breaking the law, that is).
