Army wife? If so I genetically sympathise - Dad was navy and it sucks that they don't get properly private phone calls! If they did, well, you could do something about that frustration!

And yeah Army wife. And my dad was Navy too. Freaky right? But he'll be home for R&R for two weeks at the end of August then back in March. This deployment is going faster than I thought it would... Which is fantastic!

Woohoo! Not long at all, then. Fingers and toes crossed for no hiccups and him getting back asap!

First or second deployment? A friend of a friend is on his fourth, can you believe that? I know he gets more kudos and better pay, not least because he volunteered, but I feel like saying "Dude, you're already my hero, you've done your time, can't we get you sent to Cyprus or Germany or something?"
