I think this woman who insists on shaming you for not understanding enough French needs to be brought down. First against the wall. I hope you use the most difficult English words and sentence constructions when speaking to her. And mention that after learning Russian, Italian, Spanish, Port, Chinese and Latin in the last year and seven months, you are taking a break from intensive language learning and, to be honest, French never appealed to you anyway, given the arrogant nature of the Frogs.
OK, so my favourite recent Czech word is dzem, which means jam. And sounds almost exactly like jam. It's meant to have an accent on the Z. I also like caj and cau (tea and bye/hi, pronounced chai and caio), because they're cool. There are other ones too, but I can't think of them at the moment.

It's ok, you can write foreign words with no accents just this once.
