Making Progress!

Yesterday I decided that I needed to recut the front sections of the mock up of the gothic fitted dress. So I did. The new pieces included the new front line (curved front method from Tasha Kelly) and I flared out the front skirt slightly. Things are looking really good now! I am getting good bust support and the slight flare of the skirt starts ( Read more... )

I can't even imagine making something like that. I've never been able to properly sew a button. In high school, after doing the sewing portion of home ec., they sent me to wood shop. I really admire your ability. I want to see pictures!

Speaking from recent experience, I'd go for the gores over the oral surgery! But 80 buttons....yikes...I think the surgery wins! (I hate doing buttons!)

It's the button holes that really get ya. I'm going to try to do them by hand, but might not have the time so they may end up being done by machine.

I'm beginning to doubt 80 will be enough too.
