Today's meme is a riff on one suggested by Hikaru. Because of the seemingly vast number of absences this (holiday) weekend we're going with something that's something that's sort of in between 'characterization' and 'wild and crazy', optimized for a potentially reduced number of participants.

1. She's been gone for nine months now, but Dale still sometimes looks for Sookie when he's out in the jungle. He knows at this point that if he finds anything it's going to be a body, but he looks anyway.

2. Joe's not the first man Dale's been with. He's not even the second. But if you asked him right now, Dale would probably still call himself straight without really thinking about it (as much as he calls himself anything at all).

3. Dale has been to six continents, and has always had a faint regret that he hasn't managed to make a trip to the seventh.

4. The batteries in Dale's microcassette recorder finally ran down on February 16th at 4:32 p.m. Yes, he knows the exact time.

5. Dale's stepmother's name is Shamrock.

1. Joe's selfish enough that he wants John to show up on the island, even if he would be without his meds and die here. He misses him enough that he doesn't care, that he'd take the few good weeks John could give him before he went insane.

2. Although he was stoned at the time, he knows full well that what he did to Billy was rape.

3. Joe knows of at least one woman he got pregnant, but he doesn't know if she kept the baby.

4. He has a morbid fascination with who stole his body from the cemetery and why. Because of how sick it makes other people -- and himself -- he tries not to think about it, but he desperately wants to know.

5. Sometimes he's scared Logan will turn into him.

1. Penny lies. A lot. If you've talked to her, she's lied to you. And it's not really completely explainable why; it's mostly a self-defense mechanism of sorts, but there's more to it than that, like wanting to keep up this image of herself (that doesn't really even exist on the island). She doesn't really even know exactly why herself, but she feels like it's a necessity.
2. Penny's real name is Lady Goodman, and she hates it. Lady reminds her of her mother, who's been dead for two years, and Goodman is the last name of the father she never knew, except for the thousand-dollar checks he sent them every month.
3. Before deciding on the name Penny Lane, she and her friends considered Eleanor Rigby and Ruby Tuesday.
4. Penny is bilingual! Her mother was from France, and taught Penny to speak French.
5. Penny still wishes she had been in love with William rather than Russell, but she wasn't.

1. The last time Jamie was truly alone was when his parents died. Because of that and other incidents, he ended up going crazy and taking on the Fantastic Four. Yeah, he's pretty badass.
2. Back when he was still working with the X-Corps, Jamie got really into karaoke. He used to rehearse at night with four of his dupes and come up with harmonies. Despite that, he's not that great of a singer.
3. He is, however, a wonderful pianist.
4. Because of his dupes, he is a fluent speaker of Russian, Mandarin, and French.
5. His favourite song (for today, it changes everyday you see) is the Theme from Peter Gunn.

1. Tim's mother died when he was 13 and his father was hospitalized in a coma after both were poisoned while kidnapped during a trip. Tim lived at Wayne Manor until his father woke up.

2. Tim has studied with Lady Shiva during his first year as Robin. She nearly killed him several times. Tim's a little in love with her.

3. Tim never wanted to be Robin. He took the job because Batman needs a Robin but mostly because Tim needs a Robin.

4. Dick Grayson is Tim's idol. They met on the same night Dick's parents were murdered. Tim has a picture from that day.

5. It was Robin who dated Stephanie Brown. Tim was always sort of confused by the idea of a girlfriend.
