I'm been wondering something lately. From what I understand Christmas is a religious celebration of the Christian religion, but is celebrated by many outside of that faith. I find this very interesting, so, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation?

Santa Claus and chimneys have nothing to do with religion. Christmas ain't religious.

But, I don't think it started that way. I do believe The things your talking about were added later.

I didn't know it was religious. It's a nice time, though. It's about being with your loved ones and giving gifts.

[so in that sense... it certainly seems appropriate for religion and faith?]

[MOMO smiles at Usagi.]

That is how things are in my world as well. The holiday has outlived the religion that created it.

I guess it's different. There are churches and priests.

I've seen ruins of churches on planets like Michtam, but they hadn't been used in a very long time...

[All this talk has led MOMO to another question.]

This may sound silly. But are you from Earth, Usagi-chan?

It's to celebrate the birth of Jesus, of course! To celebrate, we go to church and give each other gifts, like the wise men did to baby Jesus!

I'm not sure many people still believe that where I'm from... We mostly use Christmas as an opportunity to be with people we love.

How can you not believe in something that happened?

You should always be with the people you love on Christmas!
