Uneasy Listening - A short, ill-informed history of Scott Walker

I first "discovered" Scott Walker many years ago, when something in Richie Unterberger's Unknown Legends of Rock'n'Roll made Mr. Daroga find some and bring it home. Or maybe it was on the CD that came with the book, I don't remember. But you may remember this oldie from his first band, teenie-bopper bait The Walker Brothers:

I don't know who Scott Walker is (I'm going to check him out), but I sure know Next. My husband and I bonded over the off-Broadway musical "Jacques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris" when we first started dating.

That's awesome. I had never heard anything from the show, or any of his music, so this just really shocked me--because of the veneer and the time period.

Anyway, I hope you find some of his other stuff interesting! I am not familiar with Bat for Lashes.

Here's one of the songs from the Two Suns album. It's kind of lush and moody.

I take it back - I do know who he is! I own Bat for Lashes "Two Suns" and there he is, singing away on it!
