You know, it really shouldn't be sexy. And yet...

It was sort of a joke, that word, because fanfic warns for incest. ;)

Thank you! I'm so glad. Obviously I couldn't resist, though I was terrified of entering this fandom. So I was, of course, as unserious as I could be.

Plus I think Kirk/Kirk is just about the hottest thing ever. I should admit that, I suppose. Mostly because he's one of the most likely people to go for it ever.

Still love this.

Love the beginning too, especially Kirk's heart welling with pride looking at the new and shiny Enterprise.

The line about the getting-away-with-it grin as first line of offense really, really worked for me. And him not being able to deny it's appeal when it gets mirrored back. And nuKirk catching his breath at TOS!Kirk's second offense. OMG it's all so beautiful.

Still love:
The first kiss was only surprising in how well it conformed to Kirk's own opinion of himself, and the confirmation of the pleasure he'd bestowed on so many over the years just aroused him more.
--and how they're concerned for each other's pleasure, because that's totally how Kirk does it.

Meanwhile "captainly insistence" cracks me the ef up, and the bit where Kirk gets commanding kinda turns me on ;o)

Also still love the 42 minute bit, and the him expecting Spock will figure it out bit, and the end. I know the end is sort of punchliney, but it just makes me go, "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SPOCK YOU <3 HIM!"

I'm glad you do. You are my biggest supporter! And I'm glad I could fix things for you--and others. You were right, and it's nice to have someone who can do that stuff for/with me. I really truly appreciate it.

I was a little worries about nuKirk's concern for the other's pleasure, because I think that's more a TOS!Kirk thing, but then again since he's doing himself I thought maybe I could get away with a little lazy mirroring.

My favorite part about that is that Kirk is bottoming--I mean at least somewhat--and commanding him at the same time. That makes me happy. It seems Kirkish to me.

Yeah, it was a punchline. But I thought the fic, such as it is, could handle it. And I could get my K/S in there. *is not-so-sneaky*

Especially for the prompt. tkp sent it to me, for the delicious thread that followed, and then I couldn't resist. I am so very fond of the doubled-Kirk episodes! And I am much more a TOS than a movie fan, so I required some Shatner to get me inspired.

No trouble at all. I actually came to the fandom because of the new film, but had known TOS for some time without quite having the enthusiasm for it that fandom-love entails, if you see what I mean; so I like both 'verses, but Shatner's golden-eyed hotness makes me swoony and I felt TOS!Kirk was lacking in the kinkmeme. So I'm very, very pleased it inspired you! This was, as I said, utterly brilliant. I love it.

I feel somewhat similar--I didn't respond too fannishly too the new film, though, it merely rekindled my TOS love (which isn't to say, as I said, that I hated the movie or anything). So now I'm pretty happy that there's all sorts of new interest and people moving back and forth between "canons" and all that. It's sort of refreshing and fun. Even if I'm mostly seeking out fic I can layer Shatner over. ;)
