As you may know, I was recently on a camping trip at the southern part of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. OMG that was hilarious, both this post and tkp's comic. I tried to read the first book when it first came out, waaayyy before all the hype, and hated it so much I had to stop. Now I might have to try it again, just for the LULZ. Between you guys and cleolinda, I might actually enjoy it.

Did they film any of the movie in Forks? If not, I bet the locals are mad.

We were talking about this the other night--if this wasn't so huge, it would not be so entertaining. We'd have forgotten about it/never heard of it. But with the hype and the bad, it's amazing.

I think it was filmed in Oregon. Forks is sort of out-of-the way.

I didn't realize the books were set in a real place. I'm not sure whether that makes things better or worse.

I really want to know what the townspeople think. Considering it's rife with vampires and werewolves, Bella keeps complaining about it, and it's tiny.

Then again, I imagine the folks at La Push have even greater reason to be upset.
