I buy Rose that way, except sometimes I find it a bit annoying because it feels like "OMG I get 2 travel r0x0rz!!!1!" and less... discovering new life and civilizations and boldly going where no teenage British girl has gone before.
Martha seems more to have grasped the intellectual curiosity of what they're doing. Rose was all "this is a life I'd never have had," like an escape, right? But Martha's kind of, and correct me when you finally meet her and I'm wrong, but to me she doesn't seem to need anywhere else to go; she's *involved* in a way Rose wasn't, always.
