Well, that's a shame. :( It always a shock when somebody talented and promising (and young) dies unexpectedly. And then when it's the frontman of a band, it's especially hard for the band to go on. Not only would they have lost a friend and a huge part of the band, but the fans are not always accepting of a new guy. (Brian Johnson of AC/DC had a hell of a time when he first came out after Bon Scott died - poor guy.)

Hopefully they can deal with it with grace and dignity. I know it was a while ago that Michael Hutchence died, but I can't get over the way INXS went about finding a new front man. Just...tacky. :(

Maybe sending a card might not be a bad idea. Seeing how much he was loved and will be missed can be a great comfort to those left behind.

I seriously consider finding out the addy to their CD company and send a letter or something. I don't think it'll be too hard, really.

Awww, that's too bad. Funny, I've never listened to them, myself, but I know how it can feel when a part of something you grew up with just suddenly falls apart like that, even if it is just a band you listened to. That's rough. They'll be in my thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine what his family is going though : (

It wasn't even my generation, but I felt a lot of pain when John Lennon died. I agree with Melosine, perhaps a card or a note or something might be in order? I know it can't hurt : /

They're so very local, so it's not weird you haven't heard them really ^^ (you should though; they really rock.) What's even weirder is that I'm not devastated, or even sad in the real sense of the word, it just feels... WEIRD.

I'll write a card as soon as I find an addy to write to. Feels like the right thing to do.
