Dree was standing next to the kitchen table, slowly making her way through the pile of clean clothes. Charlie was in his baby seat, set in the middle of the table, smiling and giggling along with the funny sounds she was making as she folded the socks.

TJ and Leora were just around the corner, in the living room. Currently, they were playing separately; Leora had just taken another of the blocks to build whatever it was she was building, while TJ was waving a truck in the air like a spaceship.

El had gone up to the station to turn in some reports, before meeting Max after school. Today was the last day of class for a week, due to a large, Council-wide summit that was going to be taking over the station. The school was going to be converted into a temporary child-care facility, since there were games and supplies already set aside, for those delegates traveling with their families.

As El was an Admiral, she was expected to attend many of the events; as Celcian Queen, Dree was also attending events. She would much rather spend the time at home with her family, of course, but it would also be nice to get back into the swing of things, at work. King Deb would also be in attendance for some of the events, and Dree was doubly glad for that, because they hadn't seen much of each other in the last few months.

The sounds of her son drew Dree's attention from the socks to him and she made a face as she reached for his soft rattle. "Did you drop that, Mister Drooly?" With a smile, Dree pushed the rattle against his nose and gave it a little shake. "You gonna hold on to that, this time?" she teased, smiling at his wide, toothless grin.

Glancing over her shoulder, Dree gave the twins a look and noticed they were both behaving, which was slightly suspect. Tinny was lounging in the corner, though she knew his attention was on both toddlers, ready to bolt at the first sign of incoming torture.

Dree glanced the other way and noted the time, but decided they could go a little longer before starting lunch. Turning again, she glanced toward the door and wondered if James and Rebecca would be returning, as they had left a while ago, in search of a fresh diaper and Daddy.

Feeling a hand on her leg, Dree looked down to see TJ looking up at her with big, blue eyes. "Mama, joos?" he asked, a pout starting to form.

"Juice?" she repeated, and backed up slightly to kneel down in front of him. "Juice?" she added, giving his stomach a tickle. "If you have any more juice, you are going to float away!" TJ shrieked happily as he tried to push her hands away. Leora appeared behind him a second later, carrying one of the blocks.

"Joos!" she said, adding her vote to the tally. Dree made a face at Leora and pursed her lips. Leora copied the move and toddled the rest of the way, in order to give Mama a kiss. "MHA!" she announced, then turned toward her brother and opened her arms. "Ki Teeja" Dree smiled and pushed herself up and Leora gave her brother a kiss.

"You want macaroni for lunch, today?" Dree asked as she pulled open the fridge.

"Ma-moni! Ma-moni!" the twins repeated. Dree smiled and nodded as she pulled the container of juice out and set it on the counter. From his chair, she could see Charlie bouncing and kicking his legs, in time with the noises his older siblings were making.

Being away from them was going to make for a very long week.
