Back to real life - sadness and celebration

DDDBMT were one of my favourite bands when I was young and carefree, and when I learnt the other night of the death of the gorgeous Dave Dee, another part of my childhood shattered.

Along with The Trogs at the time, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch represented fun and naughtiness as I tottered on the brink of my burgeoning teenage sexuality.

I've probably already bored you with this story, but several years ago he came to Minneapolis for a book-signing. A local fan club showed up in costume and did a Morris Dancing exhibition for him (and several more to entertain the very long line of people waiting patiently to see him.) You should have seen Terry's face!!

I've not heard that story before, but it illustrates the mind-set of the PTerry fan rather well, doesn't it? And, of course, the mind-set of the man who inspires this sort of wonderful idiocy. It must have been fun!
